Hello and welcome to the online scheduling portal for Bespoke Bodywork, located in the historic Hilltop neighborhood in beautiful Tacoma, Washington.
My name is June Nelson, and I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2021. While my website is under construction, this will serve as my interim landing page. If you would like to skip directly to online booking options, please scroll to the bottom. Please be aware when filling out online intake forms that they are optimized for Chrome, and may not work properly if opened in a different browser.
I appreciate your patience as I navigate the many new experiences of running a business!

Bespoke Philosophy
Our bodies are dynamic constellations of experiences, needs, patterns, and identities. We are all in a constant state of change, day by day and hour by hour, which is why I provide custom tailored massage that meets you where you're at. I love getting to know my clients as individuals and building curated treatments that consider the unique ways each person lives, feels, expresses, and moves.
No matter who you are or what story your body tells, your presence on my table is always welcomed. It is my deeply held belief that all people have the right to safely access the incredible benefits of bodywork. The foundation of my practice is providing personalized care that is trauma-informed, gender-affirming, adaptive and accessible, and supportive of health at every size. I understand that seeking care can take a great act of courage. For those who have felt overlooked or underserved within the Western medical model, I see you and I hear you!
It is my hope that we can collaborate as partners on your wellness journey. The way I see it, we are teammates working together to achieve your goals, and a spirit of allyship can invite the most impactful health outcomes. Whether your objective is regaining a lost ability, managing symptoms of chronic illness, tending to your mind-body connection, or finding respite from the stresses of life, I'm here to help.
I have experienced firsthand the ways that massage can open doors to a more rich and rewarding life, and I am excited to share in those possibilities with you. It is truly a great honor to be a part of your wellness team, whether that's for one session or one hundred.
Accessibility
Forms: Intake paperwork is completed via the web portal, and forms are optimized for Chrome. If you require a paper copy, please contact me directly so we can make arrangements. I am happy to email you the required documents for self-printing, or send them via snail mail so you may complete them before your appointment.
Parking: There are limited parking spots available in the alley behind the building (Lapis Family Medicine). Otherwise, neighborhood street parking is available. There are no dedicated accessible parking spots onsite. All parking is available on a first come, first served basis.
Entry: The building grounds are secured by gates at the front and back of the lot. The gates are unlocked by entering a code into a push-button keypad and opening a lever handle. The front door also opens via a lever handle.
Grounds: There are no stairs anywhere on the grounds. There are paved/lit walkways that lead from each gate to the front entrance. Sometimes there are hoses on the paths to water the garden beds.
Restrooms: Restroom stalls are not wheelchair accessible, and do not have grab bars near the toilets. Both restrooms onsite are gender neutral.
Office and Equipment: My office is a small room, and cannot comfortably accomodate a wheelchair or walker.
My massage table is 30" wide and 73" long, and lowers to a height of 25". There are arm extenders available to widen the upper portion of the table. The table motor has a lift capacity of 400 lbs, and the upper portion of the table can tilt up into a reclining position. There is a table warmer with adjustable heat settings.
Scents: I use unscented laundry products and massage cream. I do not use essential oils in my space. While my office is low scent, please be aware I share the building with other practitioners and their clients/patients, and you may encounter scents in common areas.
Guests: You are always welcome to bring a caregiver, witness, support person, or interpreter into the room with you for the duration of your massage. Guests may also wait in the lobby.
Airborne Illness and Sanitation: Masks are optional for clients, and I can always provide you with a mask upon request. I wear a KN95 or KF94 mask during massage. I run a high quality air purifier with a HEPA filter and follow all universal and standard precautions related to cleaning and sanitation.
Always available: Bottled water, pads, tampons, earplugs, hair ties, KN95 masks, basic first aid items, and quick carbohydrate options for low blood sugar are always available.
If you have questions or concerns related to accessibility, please reach out via phone or email. I am always happy to assist with removing barriers to care whenever possible.
Payment
You will need a card on file to reserve an appointment. This card will only be charged in accordance with the Payment and Cancellation Policy in the event of a late cancellation or no show.
Payment is due at the time of service. In person payments can be made via cash, check, HSA/FSA card, digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.), and all major credit and debit cards accepted by Square. I intend to offer gift certificates in the near future, but am not yet set up to do so.
I do not bill insurance directly. If you have out-of-network insurance benefits for massage, I can provide you with superbills which you may submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
